Former president John Dramani Mahama has mourned with the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo following the demise of his mother.
He commiserated with the chairman when he led an entourage to call on Mr Ofosu-Ampofo and his family to express their condolences.
Madam Mary Gyawubea Badu, 84, died on Monday, 31st October at the Koforidua Regional Hospital after a short illness.
“I visited the national chairman of our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to commiserate with him and his family on the loss of their mother,” Mr Mahama posted on Facebook.
He also signed a book of condolence the family opened for the deceased.
As part of the visit, he extended his condolences to the leader of the Saviour Church, Opanyin Abraham Adusei at Osiem, for the burial of their father.
“I joined the leader of the Saviour Church, Opanyin Abraham Adusei, and his family at Osiem in the Eastern Region for the burial and funeral service of his late mother.”
