Kumasi Asante Kotoko has announced the addition of former Accra Hearts of Oak player Mohammed Alhassan to the porcupine family on a free transfer.
The inclusion of the 30-year-old stalwart defender brings-in vast experience to the set-up of the Kumasi-based club in the ongoing 2022/23 BetPawa Ghana Premier League.
He reportedly signed a one-year contract with an option to renewal following the mutual termination of his contract at bitter rivals Accra Hearts Oak recently.

Mohammed Alhassan during his days with the Accra Hearts of Oak helped the team emerged champions of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League. He also played instrumental role in winning the FA Cup under same football calendar year.
Under the tutuleg of former Coach Smauel Boadu, he was a key member of the team in supervising the team to defend the FA Cup the following year against Bechem United, and the President Cup against bitter rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Mohammed Alhassan joined Accra Hearts of Oak from West African Football Academy (WAFA) in 2018 and earned himself several call-ups into other national teams until his departure from the club.
