The newly outdoored acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN), Vicent Opare, has outlined targets he hopes to meet as he strives to deliver on his competence in charge of the company.
He said he will work hard within his means to supervise the operation of Accra-based Angel FM and Angel TV in the same building.
Mr Opare, in an interview on the Anopa Bofoↄ morning show on Angel 102.9 FM also transmitted on Angel TV, stated that ensuring the radio and tv firms transmit from the same apartment is part of the targets for his first 100 days in office.
Angel FM and Angel TV currently run their respective affairs from separate offices at Lapas-Nyamekye and Madina—all in the Greater Accra region—however, the new CEO has prioritised merging the two in one place.
“My first 100 days at the office, I would want the radio and tv to be in the same building which shall be our own home. The first step is that we have spoken to Dr Kwaku Oteng and has provided a place where you people will be moving in sooner,” Vicent Opare said.
According to him, “once you have your operations and activities run from offices owned by the company it helps in its smooth running”
He opined that as the Adonko brand has risen to become a household name in the beverages industry, he hoped of improving on the already grown media firm to make ABN number one and nothing else when considering media houses in Ghana.
He admitted that although it is not going to come on a silver platter, with the capabilities of the three television stations, two online portals and 20 radio stations across the country it is possible to achieve the set targets.
To the new CEO, with the aforementioned platforms available, he believes creating and producing quality content to the targeted audience’s satisfaction on the job market will play a significant role.
