The National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucus in Parliament has boycotted Thursday’s sitting to solidarize and accompany two of its members who are standing trial in court today July 6, 2023.
The two members of the minority caucus are the Minority Leader, Casiel Ato Forson and James Gyakye Quayson.
According to the Minority Chief Whip, Kwame Governs Agbodza, the boycott is “the beginning of a series of actions that the Caucus will be embarking on to end the ongoing persecution of the Minority Leader himself, the Hon. James Gyakye Quayson and the Hon. Collins Dauda.”
“We wish to reiterate the point that amidst persecution, cooperation will suffer,” he concluded in a presser he signed.
