Thousands of fitness enthusiasts from all walks of life greeted Angel Broadcasting Network’s (ABN) health walk dubbed ‘A walk with an Angel’, in Accra, Saturday, November 18, 2023.
The maiden edition of the fitness exercise was a crowd-puller, as thousands joined to promote physical fitness.
The much-anticipated exercise was honoured by residents and corporate institutions within the Greater Accra as well as surrounding communities in other Regions.
The walk began from the premises of the station at Nyamekye Junction near Abeka-Lapaz, through selected streets in communities such Darkuman, Odorkor Official Town and ended at the Fadama Astro Turf with an aerobic session.
The event was to get corporate Accra, particularly audience of the fast growing media brand fit and healthy. It also sought to strengthen the bond between listeners of Angel FM and viewers of Angel TV.
It also offered opportunities for socialisation and business networking.
Some notable staff and on-air presenter’s including Nana Yaa Brefo, Naa Atwsei, Appiah Kubi, Ohemaa Woyeje, Saddick Addams (Sports Obama), Ohemaa Sakyiwaa, Okatakyei Afrifa-Mensah as well as lead producer of the Angel Morning Show programme, Jerry Tsastro Mordey participated in the walk.
Others included Yaa Kyeraa, Serwaa Akoto, SK Ameyaw, Meshach Nkrumah [Sports Doctor], Darius Ember among others were all present.
Director of Operations and Administration, Nana Apienti, who is also General Manager of Angel TV as well as his colleague General Manager at Angel 102.9 FM, Kwadwo Dickson were there to successfully organise the event.
Participants had the opportunity to dance and interact with their favourite on-air personalities from on Angel TV and Angel FM.
The participants also benefited from a free medical screening from MediMoses Clinic and Prostate Center, body massage from Vital Wellness as well as dental screening from Absolute Dental Care.
