International Diplomatic Consultant, Farouk Al Wahab, has insinuated that Ghanaian youths in politics haven’t made any positive influence in the field and haven’t contributed anything significant towards the country’s development.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show, Al Wahab pointed out various past and present youths that have been given opportunities to help in the governance process. According to him, these youths haven’t been able to positively impacted the political scene.
Al-Wahab questioned: “…those that former Presidents John Mills and John Mahama introduced in their governments, those that Akufo-Addo has introduced in his government; how have they impacted anything in parliament and these youths are sitting in parliament?
The Diplomatic expert further asserted that the youths are unable to bring about any positive influence because they have become ‘Adult Youth’ and are all focused on making money in politics and even surpassed how the aged have stolen state money.
“And it is because they are adults that go in, they aspire for money and have stolen more money than what the aged have stolen from national coffers,” Al Wahab added.
Al Wahab admonished that Ghanaian youths should support each other and stop backlashing fellow youths who are trying to make impact in the society. He cited how Nana Kwame Bediako popularly known as Cheddar has been badly treated in the media when he announced his Presidential ambition. He noted such activities are demoralising and an end must be put to it.
The Consultant made these comments while heaping praises on the newly elected Senegalese President, Bassirou Diomaye Faye on the remarkable political journey he has made to become president.
