John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for the 2024 elections, has commenced a three-day campaign tour in the Western Region starting today, November 25, 2024.
Dubbed the #Mahama4Change2024 campaign, the tour aims to connect with diverse groups, including religious leaders, traditional authorities, and the youth, to promote the NDC’s vision of “Building the Ghana We Want Together.”
Mahama’s Western Region tour not only emphasizes voter empowerment but also highlights the NDC’s determination to address pressing national issues, including youth unemployment and governance challenges.
This tour is a critical step in the NDC’s campaign to reconnect with the grassroots and reassure Ghanaians of its vision for a better future. His engagements in the Western Region reflect a campaign that prioritizes unity and a shared vision for national progress.
By addressing electoral concerns head-on, Mahama is not only calling for fairness but also setting the tone for an issue-driven election, where policies and accountability take center stage.
In a press statement signed by Campaign Spokesperson Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the NDC expressed concerns over alleged plans by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, to undermine the election process. The statement cited claims of fake ballot paper printing and voter intimidation.
