The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of neglecting the Ashanti Region throughout their eight years in power.
According to Mahama, the Ashanti Region is the NPP’s stronghold, contributing significantly to their votes nationwide.
However, he claims the party has failed to complete a single major project in the region during their tenure.
During his campaign visit to the Ashanti Region, Mahama says that with elections approaching, the NPP has hurriedly pushed contractors to begin work on projects, which he described as “419 tactics.”
He added that the NDC is committed to completing all the unfinished interchanges and roads initiated by the NPP.
Mahama also criticized President Akufo-Addo for commissioning uncompleted projects, labeling it as an attempt to deceive the public.
