The National Women’s Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw, believes President John Dramani Mahama is fully prepared to implement his agenda of rebuilding and resetting Ghana.

According to her, Mr. Mahama has assumed the presidency with renewed energy and innovative ideas to transform the nation, positioning him to weather the challenges ahead.

In a one-on-one interview on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Friday, January 10, 2025, Dr. Hanna Bisiw stated that President Mahama’s leadership style will bring the necessary changes Ghanaians yearn for.

She argued that the President has reflected on past challenges and is now poised to deliver on his campaign promises, with the NDC administration guided by lessons from previous experiences.

“John Dramani Mahama is coming with a wealth of experience as a former president who has reflected on and taken note of his previous administration’s challenges.

This experience will serve as a solid foundation for his current leadership, even though it won’t be easy,” she told Saddick Adams, host of the show.

Dr. Bisiw emphasized that President Mahama’s experience and renewed energy make him the ideal leader to address the country’s economic, social, and political challenges.

She added that despite the difficulties ahead, largely due to the mismanagement of the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, Mr. Mahama is determined to navigate the challenges and deliver results.

“We are not saying things won’t be difficult because what we thought was bad turned out to be even worse after taking over power. The debts owed to Independent Power Producers (IPPs), coupled with the country’s overall debt and the conditions tied to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), are some of the challenges and traps set by the NPP.

However, he [President Mahama] will engage the key stakeholders involved and manage the situation,” Dr. Louisa Bisiw stressed.

She added, “Whenever I speak, I speak with confidence, free of any fear, because I know he will deliver.”
