Geopolitical analyst, Musa Dankwah has advised Ghanaian citizens living in the United States of America (USA), particularly undocumented ones, to avoid disclosing their status to officials to avoid deportation.
He urged that immigrants should not reveal personal details such as their origin or the exact date of their arrival in the U.S.
“When stopped or questioned, do not disclose your status, regardless of whether you have genuine documents. It’s not the police’s responsibility to inquire about your status,” he said.
Dankwah further stated that “you have the right not to tell them who you are, do not tell them where you hailed from and the exact day you landed in the states.”
He further recommended that individuals carry their documents at all times when outside, regardless of the situation.
