On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, Angelonline.com.gh published a news item with the caption ‘Boso residents protest police disruption of traditional affairs’, in which some residents accused some personnel from the Ghana Police Service of meddling in traditional affairs.

In the said publication, we reported that some of the chiefs had claimed that a senior police officer, Chief Superintendent Sylvester Asare, ordered the said officers to create chaos and tension in the Boso township.

Our attention has, however, been drawn by the Legal Counsel of Chief Supt. Asare that, the publication was factually inaccurate and we did not take into account the Senior Officer’s status as a Lawyer and a prominent member of the society representing a people of good character and judgement and himself being a law-abiding citizen of international repute.

Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) which operates Angelonline.com.gh concedes that the publication was defamatory and do hereby, apologise unreservedly to Chief Superintendent Sylvester Asare for the public ridicule and disaffection he has suffered following the publication.

We wish to state that the said article, highlighted in the hyperlinks, has been pulled down and deleted entirely from our database. We pledge to ensure we maintain the highest standards expected of us in future reportage of such incidents.

Signed
