The Ghana Police Service has recalled interdicted officers to resume work with immediate.
This directive is contained in a wireless message dated March 2025, and sent to Divisional and District Commanders and all units of the Ghana Police Service across the country.
However, the interdicted officers who are still facing court charges are to remain on interdiction until their cases are properly disposed of.
“INGPOL directs, the interdiction of all officers are lifted with immediate effect; however, all personnel being prosecuted in court are to remain on interdiction until cases are disposed of,” it stated.
The notice urged all the interdicted officers to treat this as a matter of urgent.
Since assuming office last week, newly appointed Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has been reversing some decisions taken by his predecessor, Dr George Akuffo Dampare.
Among such decisions is lifting the ban on spokespersons of the Service from granting media interviews.
