The surviving victims of the accident that occurred at Asesseso, involving school children on an excursion trip, have been transported back to Asante Akyem in the Ashanti Region.
The transportation of the surviving members of the incident was facilitated by Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Adjei Awatey, who successfully arranged for a bus.
They were part of several pupils and teachers from the Ben Konadu Seventh-Day Adventist Basic School, who were heading to Akosombo for an excursion before the incident occurred.
According to earlier reports, the driver lost control of the bus while navigating a sharp curve, causing the vehicle to flip over on the roadside.
There were 62 people on board, but unfortunately, two including a student reportedly lost their lives, while several others are receiving treatment at various hospitals in the region, including Yilo Krobo District Hospital, Tetteh Quarshie Hospital, and Koforidua Central Hospital.

“We have made arrangements to transport the surviving victims, both teachers and pupils, back to the Ashanti Region. It’s a terrifying sight.
We came across the accident on our way to Mount Mary Training College. Two died on the spot, one could not be easily identified,” she told Yvonne Neequaye of TV3.
