Lola Hair and Beauty College celebrated a significant achievement with the inauguration of its institution and the graduation of the Class of 2024.
The ceremony which took place on Friday, April 25, 2025, was a testament to the college’s commitment to providing quality education and training in the beauty industry.
Founder and CEO, Mrs. Rev. Latifa Adekanla, shared her inspiring journey, from initially rejecting a prophecy to pursue a career in hairdressing to embracing it with prayer and dedication.
“I started this journey with little or no knowledge at all in the industry… but prophecy came that I should go into hair,” she revealed.
Rev. Adekanla emphasized the college’s mission to produce graduates who are not only skilled but also sharp-minded and strong in character.
“We believe that beauty is more than aesthetic; it is discipline, innovation, and business,
“Our mission is to produce graduates who are competent, confident, and committed to excellence through hands-on training, mentorship, and values-based education,” she uttered.
She urged students to not only work in the beauty industry but to lead it.
Deputy Director of Operations at Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Obuobia Darko, offered valuable advice to the graduates and incoming students.
“The skills you’ve acquired are tools, but it’s your vision, discipline, drive, and purpose that will determine your altitude,
“You’re not just beauticians; you’re artists, entrepreneurs, therapists, and destiny shapers,” she stated.
Also, Ms. Darko welcomed incoming students to a space built on excellence, emphasizing that the skills learned at Lola Hair and Beauty College can open doors globally.
“Welcome to a place where mediocrity is not an option… what you’re learning here can open doors across the globe, only if you treat it with the seriousness it deserves,” she added.
