Black Stars midfielder, Mohammed Kudus is on the verge of completing a high-profile transfer to English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur – a move that has drawn enthusiastic praise from Ghana’s former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The £55 million deal, reportedly agreed between Tottenham and West Ham United, is expected to be finalised following a medical examination.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that; “Mohammed Kudus will complete his medical at Tottenham today, plan confirmed. Spurs and West Ham have now started also to exchange documents after deal agreed. £55m fee will be paid in 3 years.”
Dr. Bawumia, a known Tottenham supporter, took to social media to express his excitement over the imminent transfer.
“I am excited to see our Ghanaian starboy make this move to my @SpursOfficial. All the best in your medical @KudusMohammedGH,” he posted.
The £55m move, when officially sealed would see the former Ajax midfielder becomes the expensive-transfer of a Ghanaian player.
Kudus joined West Ham United from Ajax in 2023, having previously played for Norwegian side FC Nordsjaelland.
His stellar performances earned him a place among the club’s fan favourites, highlighted by his iconic ‘Stool’ celebration.
