Member of Parliament (MP) for Suaman-Dadieso Constituency, Frederick Addy, has revealed the key factor that led to his victory in winning the Parliamentary seat in his constituency during the 2024 election.

According to him, his benevolence and commitment to community development projects, supported by his business earnings, earned him votes.

“My constituents named me philanthropist, the kindness and generosity I have extended to my community, supported by my business ventures, was instrumental in securing my parliamentary seat,” he revealed.

He said this on Friday, August 1, 2025, during an interview on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) hosted by Saddick Adams.

Mr. Addy mentioned that the community’s traditional council’s recognition of his positive influence led to his enstoolment as ‘Nkoso Hene’ (A chieftaincy position given to a person who has contributed so much to a community’s development and progress), prior to his Parliamentary ambition.

He recounted a notable instance where he donated a power generator to a government hospital in the constituency, addressing the community’s plea to mitigate the impact of frequent power crisis on healthcare services.

“I donated a plant to a government hospital in the constituency when I heard the frequent power outages were badly affecting the community’s health care system; all along, I had not dreamt of aspiring for a parliamentary seat,” he recalled.

Hon. Frederick Addy emphasized that his constituents’ decision to vote for him was based on their confidence in his ability to represent their interests, given his history of supporting them even with limited resources.

“My constituents saw the importance to vote for me to represent them in Parliament because they knew I would never disappoint them; even when I was not an MP, I tried all means possible to help the constituency,” he stressed.
