Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has commended the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for withdrawing from the Tamale Central by-election.
He emphasized the party’s display of political maturity within Ghana’s democratic framework.
In a post on X, Mr. Anyidoho described the NPP’s conduct as “Excellent,” and noted:
“Excellent move!!! The show of such heart-warming EMPATHY in these traumatic moments is obviously a strong sign of positive political maturity. Ayekoo.”
“The highest form of knowledge, is EMPATHY, because it allows us to suspend our egos and live with a heart with others who are in pain,” he posted.
According to the Founder and CEO of the MILLS Institut, while Ghana remains a pacesetter in democratic governance on the continent, decisions that safeguard its democratic practices must be acknowledged.
“Ghana continues to be a beacon of Africa’s democracy and so when certain illuminating decisions are taken in the supreme interest of pushing forward the frontiers of our democratic credentials, irrespective of which side it emerges from, all well-meaning patriots must embrace and acknowledge it.”
