Ghana Post has announced a temporary suspension of all mail deliveries to the United States, effective Monday, August 26, 2025.
The suspension affects the acceptance and dispatch of letters, parcels, and Express Mail Service (EMS).
The company explained that the move follows a recent U.S. Executive Order imposing import duties on packages destined for the United States.
“Several of our partner airlines have temporarily suspended cargo services to the U.S,” It said in a public notice.
According to Ghana Post, the company is collaborating with the United States Postal Service and other airline partners to implement the new requirements and ensure that services are restored as soon as possible.
“All other destinations remain unaffected. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” the notice noted.
