The General Manager of Accra-based Angel FM, a subsidiary of the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) and operator of Angel TV and several media houses nationwide, has assured listeners and viewers that the TV channel will be restored following technical difficulties.
Kwadwo Dickson noted that the issues, which have made the channel inaccessible for some viewers, particularly those on the Satellite platform and outside Greater Accra, will soon be resolved.
According to the seasoned media practitioner, management is working around the clock to address the situation, which has become a major concern for viewers.
His assurance came after complaints from some residents of Akwatia in the Eastern Region during the Tuesday, September 2, 2025, by-election, where they approached a reporter to demand answers about why they could not access Angel TV in recent times.
“What we want to tell you is that, Angel TV is very dear to our hearts. That is the only channel we watch your news and everything. In fact, we have bookmarked the station. But recently, we haven’t had access to the channel whenever we tune in. We have been left wondering who to ask for answers about the channel’s unavailability, but luckily we came across you [reporter]. We want to express our concern because we are starved of Angel TV programmes. Angel TV is like Jacob in the Bible to us,” a resident representing a group of middle-aged men said bitterly.
Another ardent viewer from Kumasi, who had come to Akwatia for the by-election, also shared his frustration.
“You [Angel TV] report the truth and provide reliable information nationwide. So when I don’t watch it, I feel lost. Therefore, if there is any issue, we plead with you to resolve it for us,” he told Angel News’ Ohim.
In response, Kwadwo Dickson acknowledged the concerns of the residents and quickly expressed gratitude for their humble appeal.
He described their passion as “wonderful” and assured them of swift intervention, noting that management has been holding a series of meetings to restore the channel to their catchment areas.
“Without prolonging my speech, let me state that since Monday, September 1, and Tuesday, September 2, every single meeting management has held has focused on the TV channel that has been inaccessible to those living outside Greater Accra and other areas.
“To explain, we are on both Digital and Satellite platforms. Fortunately, those on digital have access every day, including now as I speak. However, the Satellite platform has been inaccessible in places like yours. We are doing everything possible, tirelessly, to restore it in the coming weeks, I can promise that,” he stated.
