The Akwamumanhene, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III, has extended a compelling invitation to individuals across Ghana, Africa, and the global community to explore the rich cultural and historical offerings of Akwamuman.
Speaking during the 2025 edition of the Royal Akwamu Golf Invitational held on Saturday, September 6, at the Royal Senchi Hotel & Resort in Senchi, Asuogyaman District, the Paramount Chief emphasized Akwamu’s significance in Ghana’s national narrative.

He highlighted the area’s wealth of tourist attractions, including the iconic Adomi Bridge, the Akosombo Dam, and a range of first-class hospitality facilities such as hotels, resorts, and relaxation centres.
“The history of Akwamu is very rich with value for mother Ghana because the story of Ghana cannot be said without Akwamu,” His Royal Majesty told Jaman Dehyee Opambour of Angel News’.

He noted that the golf tournament was not only a sporting event but also a strategic effort to raise awareness about the tourism potential of the region.
He encouraged visitors to take full advantage of the area’s offerings, describing Akwamuman as a “tourism hub” where people from all walks of life can enjoy themselves.

The Chief also underscored the importance of physical fitness for traditional leaders, stating that golf provides a valuable opportunity to stay active beyond palace duties.
Max Ernest Heinrich, the winner of the Royal Akwamu Golf Invitational, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate and praised the Akwamuhene for using sports as a medium to promote community engagement and tourism.

“…It’s just a beautiful area… so we can applaud you for that, and what you do for the community. I’m just very grateful. Thank You so much King, and everyone who attended the event.
“Golf is very special because it always brings together a lot of people. A lot of new faces met here,” he remarked.
