The former Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has conveyed his profound sorrow following the death of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, a trailblazing Ghanaian innovator and the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission.
Dr. Bawumia remarked that Apostle Safo contributed to Ghana far beyond his role as a religious figure, leading the way in local innovations and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit among Ghanaians.
In a message shared on X on Sunday, September 14, 2025, he highlighted Apostle Kwadwo Safo’s commitment to uplifting the lives of the underprivileged, as demonstrated through his numerous charitable initiatives.
“I have received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, a pioneering Ghanaian innovator; and the founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission.
“As a religious leader, his open arms received me. Anytime I called on him, I departed his presence with lasting words of encouragement and wisdom.
“On behalf of my family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the Kristo Asafo Mission, and all who mourn this irreparable loss.
“May his legacy continue to endure and inspire future generations to believe in our domestic solutions, serve their communities, and put Ghana first,” Dr. Bawumia expressed.
