Interior Minister, Mutaka Mohammed has announced a nationwide recruitment exercise for the security services, introducing an automated screening system designed to ensure transparency and prevent overcrowding at screening centres.
According to him, the recruitment exercise will be transparent and merit-driven, with qualified applicants selected through an intensive phased screening process.
“No one should claim they can secure you a slot through any special route.
“Under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, such acts will not be tolerated.
“The system will select only qualified candidates,” he stated.
He added that the system will handle the automatic assignment of applicants to screening centres, encouraging young people to view this as a chance to serve their country.
“Applicants in Tamale will be assigned to go to venues like Tamale Secondary School or Ghana Secondary School Park where the system will allocate them either in morning or afternoon session to ensure orderliness and prevent overcrowding” he cited
Speaking at the press conference in Accra on Friday, November 14, 2025, Mr. Muntaka stated that this approach will ensure that no two major agencies are conducting screenings at the same time.
However, after it closes, a national screening date will be announced, with each agency conducting screenings in sequence.
“The portal will be open from 15th November to 15th December 2025, after which a national screening date will be announced.
“All Police recruits will be screened on the same day, followed by the Fire Service, Prison Service, and Immigration in sequence,“ he outlined.
Mr. Muntaka further noted that the public commitment to transparency and accountability throughout the recruitment exercise will be treated with dignity and respect, and the process will be fair and impartial.
