The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has arrested two individuals, Yaw Ntoso and Perpetual Ayitey, for possession of narcotic drugs in the Eastern North Region.
The suspects were apprehended at Amankwakrom on the Agordeke-Donkorkrom motor road on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
According to the police report, a snap check team intercepted a Kia Bongo Truck driven by Yaw Ntoso, leading to the discovery of three white sacks containing 135 compressed slabs of suspected cannabis sativa wrapped in yellowish cellotapes and 21 oval-shaped parcels of similar substances.

The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations and are expected to face court proceedings.
The Eastern North Regional Police Command carried out the operation as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
