President for ‘Centre for Citizens Empowerment,’ Alex Nartey has emphasized the need to make justice a fundamental right for every Ghanaian, especially the poor and marginalized.
Speaking at the Centre’s relaunch on Saturday, November 15, 2025, he explained that thousands of Ghanaians continue to face injustices daily, unable to afford legal help or navigate complicated court systems, leaving many wrongs unchallenged and ignored.
“Across our communities, we see a harsh reality, thousands of Ghanaians continue to suffer injustices — at work, in their families, in their communities, and even in their basic rights — simply because they lack the means to seek redress,” he said.

Mr. Nartey highlighted the prohibitive cost of hiring a lawyer or going to court and the complex nature of court processes, which discourages many from seeking justice.
“Justice must never be the privilege of the rich; it must be the right of all, that is why the Centre for Citizens Empowerment exists,” he stressed.
He further noted that the Centre’s mission is to empower the poor and vulnerable to assert their rights and seek redress through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and, where necessary, litigation.
“Our mission is to empower the poor and vulnerable to assert their rights and seek redress — through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and, where necessary, litigation,” he disclosed.
