Tension continues to brew within the football community in Swedru, Central Region, following All Blacks’ abysmal performance, sparking early concerns among supporters.
Supporters’ grievances, among other things, seek to mount pressure on the management team to overturn the club’s woes.
Their first demand for punitive measures is directed at changing the technical direction of the Swedru-based side.
Under the tutelage of Egyptian coach Ahmed Fathi, the Black Magicians have managed to garner only 8 points from a possible 30 after 10 matches in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Hosting Accra Hearts of Oak on Saturday, November 15, 2025, they failed to secure all three points, settling for a 0-0 draw. The result further fueled frustrations among supporters, who reiterated their demand for Fathi’s exit.
Some fans expressed displeasure to the media after the Hearts match, stressing that a turnaround in the club’s fortunes remains their top priority.
In a statement prior to the game, the Supporters’ Union accused the coach of favoritism in player selection, which they believe has exacerbated the team’s underperformance.
They further threatened to push for his dismissal, insisting they could no longer endure the winless streak if he failed to beat Hearts of Oak.
According to them, the situation is affecting their sexual drive, leaving them unable to perform their conjugal rights.
While under-pressure Ahmed Fathi continues to face criticism from worried supporters, management is expected to act swiftly amid the growing tension in Swedru.
Female supporters have deepened Fathi’s woes, threatening to storm the team’s training grounds unclothed if he is not relieved of his duties before Tuesday, November 18.
They have issued an ultimatum to management to act by Monday, November 17, or face the planned naked protest.
At the time of filing this report, a close source told this portal that the football community in Swedru remains highly charged.
