The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has announced the resumption of its 2025/2026 recruitment exercise in the Greater Accra Region, effective Thursday, November 20, 2025.
The exercise, which was previously suspended, will see screening processes conducted at eight sub-centres across five locations: El-Wak Stadium, Nicholson Park (Burma Camp), Air Force Base (Burma Camp), Training and Doctrine Command (Teshie), and Eastern Naval Command (Tema).
According to a press release issued by the Department of Public Relations, qualified applicants will receive SMS notifications specifying their reporting dates and designated centres.
Applicants are advised to check the recruitment portal regularly for updates.
The press release noted that it has set up a Board of Inquiry to investigate circumstances leading to a recent stampede, with the entire Greater Accra Recruitment Team replaced.
The military has expressed regret over the incident and extended sympathies to bereaved families, assuring that those found culpable will face sanctions.
Injured individuals will receive free medical services at 37 Military Hospital, and special recruitment packages will be offered to them and affected families.
The GAF has cautioned the public against accompanying applicants to screening centres to reduce congestion, and non-applicants will not be allowed entry.
