A 21-year-old man, Sampson Azumah, who allegedly stabbed a firefighter during a blaze at Adjiriganor last Friday, will be arraigned before the Achimota Circuit Court on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) announced that Sampson Azumah, who is currently in police custody, is expected to face charges related to causing harm to a public officer.
The incident occurred while firefighters were battling a fire at a two-storey building near Ability Square in Adjiringanor, resulting in one firefighter being stabbed in the left arm by Azumah.
The GNFS has commended the White Chapel Youth Group at Madina and the public for their swift actions and timely information that led to Azumah’s arrest.
“Your cooperation continues to enhance community safety and support justice,” the GNFS stated.
