Ghana senior men’s national team, the Black Stars, has maintained its position in the November 2025 FIFA World Rankings on the continent.
In the latest FIFA ranking, Ghana retained 14th place despite setbacks during the international break, suffering back-to-back defeats. The West African powerhouse lost 2-0 to Japan and narrowly fell 1-0 to South Korea in the 2025 Kirin Challenge Cup in Asia.
This latest ranking follows October, when Ghana also occupied the same position. However, the Black Stars moved one step up on the global stage, rising from 73rd to 72nd.
In Africa’s November ranking, Morocco leads the continent and sits 11th in the world. Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, DR Congo, and Cameroon follow in that order to complete Africa’s top 10.
FIFA’s release comes ahead of the final draw for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for December 5 in Washington.
Ghana will hope for a favourable group at the Mundial, which will be jointly hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
