The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) announced that the case involving former Minister of Finance Ken Ofori-Atta and seven others in the ongoing investigation into the Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML) revenue assurance contract with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has been adjourned.
According to the OSP, the hearing of the case will be heard later in a yet-to-be-announced date.
Suspects facing prosecution include former GRA Commissioners-General, Dr. Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah and Emmanuel Kofi Nti; senior GRA officials Isaac Crentsil and Kwadwo Damoa; Ernest Akore, former Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Finance; Evans Adusei, owner of SML; and the company itself.
They are currently facing 78 charges, filed by the OSP for their alleged contributions in the controversial GRA–SML revenue assurance agreements under the erstwhile New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The charges include violations of Section 23(1) of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) and Section 92(2)(b) of the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663).
In a Facebook post, the Office stated that the originally scheduled date of Monday, November 24, 2025, for the case has been postponed.
“This case has been adjourned as the Court would not sit on the originally scheduled date of 24 November 2025. A new date would be communicated to the Republic and the Accused Persons,” the post reads in an update.
