China has affirmed its commitment to partnering with Ghana to deepen bilateral relations by defending Ghana’s security.
According to a post by the Ministry of Defence on their official Facebook page, a visit by the Chinese Defence Attaché to Ghana, Colonel Dou Yan, was part of ongoing diplomatic engagements between Ghana and China aimed at deepening cooperation in defence and security.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister of Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, expressed appreciation to the Government of China for its support in the investigation of a Z-9 helicopter crash.
Mr. Genfi noted that this assistance underscores China’s commitment to Ghana’s defence sector.

Colonel Dou Yan reaffirmed China’s willingness to strengthen defence ties with Ghana and extended an invitation to Deputy Minister Ernest Brogya Genfi to visit China for further discussions.

The talks between the two sides focused on expanding military-to-military cooperation and identifying new areas of collaboration that would benefit both nations.
