Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has underscored the “Think Prison 360° Initiative”, reaffirming it role to transform the service toward a modern, secure, and self-sustaining institution.
Speaking at the Graduation Parade of Prisons Cadet Course Intake 32 at the Prison Officers Training School, Roman Ridge, Accra on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, She noted that the project seeks to turn incarceration into innovation, offering inmates practical skills and renewed hope for reintegration.
“These venture turn incarceration into innovation and provide inmate with real skills,work experience and hope for reintegration in the society,”the Vice President noted.
The Vice President highlighted the institution’s goal of developing a technology-driven system that fosters economic growth, national development and change public perception of the service.
Professor Opoku Agyemang also pointed out that this initiative rest on enhanced welfare mechanized agriculture,industrialization enterprises and sustainability initiatives to boost jobs and generate internal revenue.
“Initiative are underway to create the condition for large scale manufacturers of textile,furniture,sanitary and construction production therefore creating job and expanding internally generating revenue,” she emphasized.
