The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced Tuesday, December 30, 2025, as the date for the rerun of the Parliamentary Election in the Kpandai Constituency.
This follows a ruling by the Tamale High Court on November 24, 2025, which ordered a rerun of the 2024 Parliamentary Election in the constituency within thirty days.
The EC also received formal notification from the Clerk to Parliament on December 9, confirming a vacancy in the Membership of Parliament for Kpandai.
In a statement issued Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the Commission said a re-run which has become necessary to fill the vacant seat is scheduled for December 20.
“The Electoral Commission will hold a rerun of the Parliamentary Election in the Kpandai Constituency on Tuesday, 30th December, 2025,” It announced.
According to the Commission, the exercise will involve only the candidates who contested the 2024 Parliamentary Election in the constituency.
“The rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election will be conducted for only the three (3) Candidates who contested the 2024 Parliamentary Election in the said Constituency.”
