A Scania truck was involved in a road traffic collision at Asukawkaw in the Oti Region on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

The truck was reportedly traveling from Benin to Nkawkaw when the accident occurred.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded to the incident, with the Pai-Katanga Fire Post dispatching a crew led by SubO John Justice Kpego to the scene after an emergency call from the Pai-Katanga District Police Commander, ASP Frimpong, reporting the accident.

The report indicates that three occupants were rescued and taken to the Worawora Government Hospital before the crew’s arrival.

The GNFS team cleared hazards from the road to ensure the safety of other users, and the cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
