The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) Ghana has launched a campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of shisha smoking.
The campaign, which features a striking poster with a red “no” symbol over a shisha pipe, aims to educate the public about the risks associated with shisha use.
According to the FDA, an hour of shisha smoking is equivalent to smoking about 200 sticks of cigarettes, highlighting the significant health risks associated with this habit.
The authority is urging Ghanaians to stop shisha smoking and to be aware of the potential health consequences.
The campaign is part of the FDA’s efforts to promote public health and reduce the prevalence of smoking-related illnesses in Ghana.
By raising awareness and promoting education, the authority hopes to make a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Ghanaians.
