The National Apprenticeship Programme has received a major boost, following the presentation of 16 Toyota Hilux vehicles by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vehicles will be distributed across all 16 regions to enhance monitoring and ensure effective supervision of the programme nationwide.
Presenting the vehicles to the National Coordinator on behalf of the President on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the Minister of Youth and Employment, George Opare Addo, Esq urged officials to use them responsibly and maintain a strong maintenance culture to ensure the successful delivery of the programme’s mandate.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, he stated that the vehicles would strengthen the capacity of regional coordinators to properly oversee the National Apprenticeship Programme.

He stressed that these “vehicles are strictly for official use and not for private purposes.”
“These are not vehicles for carrying people to farms, adding that we are going to put trackers so that the cars are used for it sole purpose for which we had given them to use,” he cautioned.The Minister further noted that the support would help regional coordinators better track the progress and performance of apprentices in their respective regions.
