President John Dramani Mahama has conveyed a Valentine’s Day greeting to the widows of eight individuals who lost their lives in the helicopter accident on August 6, 2025.
Across the globe, as Valentine’s Day was observed on Saturday, February 14, the President extended his sympathies and heartfelt wishes to the grieving women, hoping to offer them solace and lift their spirits.
In a message posted on his Facebook page, President Mahama attached a group photograph of the widows, used heart emojis and simply wrote: “Happy Valentine’s Day.”
The eight passengers who perished in the crash included: “Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence
“Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology
“Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator.
“Samuel Sarpong, NDC Vice-Chair.
“Samuel Aboagye, former parliamentary candidate.
“Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, pilot.
“Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, co-pilot.
“Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah, flight technician.”
