The Western Regional Command has arrested two suspects allegedly featured in a viral video for physically assaulting two teenagers.

The arrest was announced in a police statement on Friday, February 27, 2026, following allegations of forcing a 13-year-old male and a 17-year-old female to have sexual intercourse.

According to the Police Service, the suspects Edward Azalekor (52) years and Martin Amuzu (35) who is an uncle to the female victim, reportedly forced the teenagers to have the sexual intercourse in a shop with onlookers cheering, and filming the act.

The police investigation revealed that the female victim left home on the afternoon of Monday, February 16, 2026, without informing her mother, and returned around 7:40 pm.

This angered the mother, who reportedly left her in the care of her uncle who happens to be Assemblyman for Effiakuma West Electoral Area, Edward Azalekor, to discipline her.
