Founder of the Union Government, Akwasi Adai Odike, has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has no moral right to speak on sole-sourcing because they did worse while in office.
Speaking on Angel FM’s ‘Anopa Bofo’ on Monday, March 30, 2026, he noted that opposition parties criticize wrongdoing in government but repeat the same practices when they take office.
“NPP doesn’t have any effrontery or so ever to say some. NPPs were actively involved in sole-sourcing so they should not talk about it,” he said.
He highlighted that the sole-sourcing done by the NPP during their administration mirrors what the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is doing now.
“I don’t want to talk about it much, NPP paved the way for NDC to continue. NPPs are behaving like they want to take a shine from what is happening,” he said.
He further mentioned that if the NPP had fixed major roads during their eight years in office, President John Mahama would not sole-source same projects.
He urged for the adoption of his Union Government, saying the multi-party system and governance architecture are not good for Ghana.
“I have seen that our governance, architecture, our constitution, multi party and democracy is not good for the country,” he stated.
