Nigerian singer, Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, popularly known as Peruzzi, has made startling claims about his time living with his colleague singer, Davido.
He alleged that he once discovered what he believes to be “juju” planted in his clothing.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Peruzzi recounted a disturbing experience he says ultimately influenced his decision to leave Davido’s residence and get his own apartment.
According to him, the incident occurred while he was still staying in Davido’s house. He claimed that after retrieving a jacket from his wardrobe, one that had just been returned from the laundry, he noticed something unusual fall out of it.
“While I was still living in Davido’s house, they planted juju in one of my jackets. The next day, I saw a shrine in Davido’s private room. That was the main reason I left Davido’s house to get my own apartment,” he said.
Peruzzi further explained that he had taken a shower earlier that evening and was preparing to step out when he felt compelled to pick a particular jacket.
“I took a shower one evening like 6pm just to shower and make … I was done taking my bath, get to the wardrobe to get a jacket. I saw one jacket and my instincts was telling me wear it. As I removed the jacket then something like jazz fell off from the jacket. Juju, better juju in my room. Jacket that just came back from the laundry,” he added.
The singer suggested that the discovery left him unsettled, especially given the circumstances surrounding the jacket and its recent return from the laundry.
While he did not provide further details about who may have been responsible, Peruzzi maintained that the experience played a significant role in his decision to move out.
