Ghana’s surge in cases of monkeypox, commonly known as Mpox, is now at 91, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed.
This follows the confirmation of six new monkeypox cases by the GHS in its daily update on the infections.
In the GHS’s latest update, two patients are currently on admission and under close monitoring, while contact tracing efforts are underway to prevent further spread of the virus.
Ghanaians are advised to protect themselves by avoiding close contact with symptomatic individuals and by practicing “good hygiene.”
The Service also urged the public to report any early symptoms to health officials.
