The Court of Appeal has dismissed a request filed by lawyers of former Signals Bureau Director-General, Kwabena Adu Boahene, seeking a stay of proceedings in his alleged ongoing criminal trial.
In the hearing today, Thursday, May 28, 2026, the Court affirmed the decision of the High Court disallowing the disclosure of certain documents while allowing the disclosure of a specific few.
The accused had appealed to the Court of Appeal challenging a decision by the High Court refusing an application for an order for disclosure of certain documents.
In their reliefs, the accused persons also sought an order to stay proceedings.
The accused person, Adu Boahene after the refusal of an order to stay proceedings has returned to the High Court for trial to continue.
This was confirmed in a public notice issued by the office of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL).
