The excitement in the Ghana Women Premier League continued at the various venues with some exciting matches. In the Southern Zone, 14 goals were scored by 11 players in match day 2. Berry Ladies came from a goal down to beat Soccer Intellectuals at Ajumako. Felicity Asante netted the second hat-trick of the season to give her side the win. The nine goal thriller at the Community 8 park ensured Lady Strikers beat Thunder Queens. In other matches, Police ladies won by a lone goal courtesy Grace Animah at the Nduom Stadium in Elmina as Immigration drew blank with Hasaacas Ladies.
Meanwhile in the Northern Zone, Northern Ladies felt the absence of Abdullai Mukarama as they lost to Kumasi Sports Academy. Ampem Darkoa’s OPhelia Amponsah scored a brace against PearlPia Ladies as the Nanamma are back to winning ways. In other matches, Supreme Ladies won 1-0 against Fabulous Ladies while Ashtown Ladies lost 1-0 at home to Prison Ladies.
