A leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Kojo Bonsu has paid glowing tribute to the former late President, Prof. John Evans Atta-Mills.

He said the values and principles espoused by the former President are ever more relevant today given the fast degradation of Ghanaian society in the area of morals and ethics.

He said no nation can truly develop without embedding in its citizens the progressive values of truth, integrity and service to humanity.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of the former head of state. According to the former Mayor of Kumasi, Prof. Mills distinguished himself as a statesman who showed genuine concern and respect for the welfare of the average Ghanaian and stood up for the protection of their human rights and equality at all times.

“The youth of Ghana have never needed inspirational leadership like they do now and we are blessed to have a homegrown example of excellence in governance and integrity in the example of the life of Prof Mills” he added.

Mr Bonsu thus encouraged the youth of Ghana to be inspired by the great legacy of Prof Mills.

He reminded them that the coming 2024 elections presents an opportunity for the youth of this nation to take their destiny into their own hands by voting out the NPP government whose record in the areas of the economy, human rights and security has been abysmal and clearly a threat to the future welfare of Ghanaians.
