The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has accused the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, of being deceptive with his sudden interest in infrastructures

“The sudden interest of President Akufo-Addo to project infrastructure as part of his government’s achievements is both surprising and deceptive,” the former President told a gathering of chiefs and elders of Tsito, in the Volta Region.

This accusation follows projects the Akufo-Addo government inherited when they came into power but have been abandoned, as alleged by Mr Mahama.

“The government failed the test right from the beginning when it cancelled road contracts and abandoned projects it inherited from the NDC,” he added.

Adding to that, he also said he has observed many of the abandoned projects would have been completed by now for the benefits of the people, if the government had not abandoned them.

He has, therefore, assured Ghanaians that his new NDC government if elected in the coming elections in December, will complete all abandoned projects.

“A new NDC government will continue all abandoned projects including roads. The early years of a new NDC government will be devoted to completing abandoned projects before new ones are inherited.”
