Dancehall artiste, Samini, has called on the President, Nana Akufo-Addo to listen to the plea of Ghanaians complaining about extreme hardship in the country.
The artiste who was a poster boy for the NPP in the 2020 elections said it would augur well for the President if he pays heed to the plight of the people who reposed confidence in him last year.
Extreme hardship in the country coupled with new taxes and increment in fuel prices caused commercial drivers across the country to embark on a sit-down strike in protest of the fuel hikes.
The strike action led to disruption in the transport sector and affected productivity as well.
Samini who endorsed Nana Akuffo-Addo and the NPP 2020 Campaign shared this view on Yadwuma Nie with Ohemaa Woyeje on Angel Fm whilst promoting his new EP dubbed “Burning”.
Commenting on this action and several other complains from the citizens, Samini said that it is imperative for government to give a listening ear to Ghanaians in order not to lose their confidence in them.
Touching on the music industry, the ‘My Own’ hitmaker, it was through him that artistes such as Kofi Kinaata, Stonebwoy and Kaakie became very ‘big’ in showbiz.
Speaking further, he also explained why he posted his wife’s picture on social media for the first time.
According to him, his wife accused him of living like a bachelor while he is married man thus on her birthday, he chose to flaunt her to the world.
The artiste has released an Ep titled ‘ Burn ‘with songs such as Picture, Papper and many more.
