Former Hearts of Oak player, Kofi Abanga, has stated that he received meagre monthly salary during his playing days with the continental club masters.
Having burst out from the scene prematurely due to consistent injuries, Abanga was earning GH¢350 as disclosed in an interview.
“I was pocketing GH¢350 as salary while in the books of Hearts of Oak,” he told Bryt FM, monitored by Angelonline.com.gh.
Highlighting his move to Hearts of Oak over bitter rivals Asante Kotoko in 2007, Kofi Abanga urgue that he does not regret the decision he took although a lot transpired in the move.
“I don’t regret my move to Hearts. A lot of things happened with my move which I wouldn’t like to disclose.”
He spent seven seasons with the Phobians and helped them emerge champions of the 2008/2009 Ghana Premier League.
