The Management of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) is encouraging the public to adhere to the Covid-19 safety protocols, as the facility has begun recording new cases.
According to information sighted by Angelonline.com.gh, the total number of cases currently active at the hospital is 23.
Breaking the number down, 20 patients are fully vaccinated, whereas 3 are unvaccinated. Persons with the booster dose have however not been named on the list to have contracted the same.
The Management noted that its staff are among the list of infected persons with 30% of the infections being sourced from community transmission.
It thus urged the public to get their booster dose to complete their vaccination while adding that they “wear a face mask, wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand rub regularly, especially after engaging each patient.”
The authorities also encouraged the holding of organization meetings in a well-ventilated environment and observe social distancing.
“If you develop dry cough, cold, headache, fever, etc. kindly report to the Polyclinic or the Public health unit”.
