The Human Resource Manager of Coca Cola, Ms. Francoise Cleland, has assured Regional Maritime University (RMU) of its preparedness to assist in the development and knowledge building for its graduates.
She was of the view that such collaborations will help to streamline and maintain standardized practices among experts trained by the university to encourage and ensure competent professionals in their field of endeavor.
She made the remark during a courtesy call by the Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Gabriel S. Akakpo at her Office in Accra on Tuesday 27 June 2023, to firm up relationship with the company. The visit also forms part of a follow up on the recently organized colloquium by the School of Graduate Studies in conjunction with the Research and Innovations unit of the Regional Maritime University.
The Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Gabriel S. Akakpo expressed the need for collaboration between the University and the Coca-Cola bottling company in areas of students’ internship and short training programs.
This he said is suitable, and accurate for hands-on practical knowledge applications by student to help inspire better understanding of what has been taught in the classroom.
Dr. Gabriel S. Akakpo also took the opportunity to present a plague to Madam Francois Cleland in recognition of her support and profound interest in supporting the Regional Maritime University ahead of the signing of a memorandum of understanding to guide their respective commitments.
The team was later taken round the company’s production units and educated on the production chain of Coca-Cola products.
