Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo, has described the government of former President John Mahama as one which was far better than that of current President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show, the political science lecturer based his argument on the fight against corruption which he said has been a major yardstick for checking the performance of a government all over the world.
According to him, the government of John Mahama unlike that of Akufo-Addo showed enough commitment to the fight against the fight against corruption.
“As President Akufo-Addo said he was incorruptible, I expected it to manifest in his appointees as well as his governance in order to curb the corruption he was talking about but it appears that his government is more corrupt than Mahama’s…,” he added.
He further recalled how President Akufo-Addo made Ghanaians believe he was incorruptible but have failed the fight against corruption.
