Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus will not be available for Ghana’s friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda during the International break.
English Premier League side, West Ham confirmed in a release that he has sustained a shoulder injury and hence will not be available for the matches.
Kudus, despite enjoying the entire 90 minutes in West Ham United’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa last weekend, is said to have experienced post-match pain on his shoulder.
Confirming the player’s absence from Ghana’s friendlies to be played in Marrakesh, Morocco, West Ham United said the 23-year-old together with Jamaican forward Michail Antonio will not be joining their respective nations for the international break.
“Michail Antonio and Mohammed Kudus have withdrawn from the Jamaica and Ghana squads respectively, having been called up by their countries earlier this month,” West Ham said in a statement.
Ghana will rekindle its rivalry with bitter-rivals Nigeria on March 22, 2024, and Uganda four days later, both matches taking place in Morocco.
